Sethusamudram project: India terms Lanka’s concern baseless

The government of India has said that Sri Lanka’s concern about the environmental problems arising out of the Sethusamudram channel project are unfounded. Top shipping ministry officials told FE that the project had been approved after going through all the pros and cons related to the environmental issues and long-term repercussions.
